I joined the gallant school St.Kagwa at a time when bullying and strikes were at the peak. My resentment towards such evils forced me to form up a task force to internally hunt for the ring leaders of bullying of the vulnerable students. Given that I was a “kadogo” (young NRA militant), I used my training to fight the vice. I had all the passion to fight for justice and incidentally, I was elected Deputy Head Prefect in 1995. This positioned me better to sweep out strikes and bullying. I would help the then Headmaster Mr.Tibanyendera Basil (“Chiluba”) at night to wake up the entire school for morning preps (“winter”) so that the school kept afloat in academics and I am glad we succeeded. The results of 1996 remain among the best. To me, St.Kagwa was my gateway into student leadership and a world of responsibilities. To the students, the time you spend at school should be maximally used in digging for the knowledge because millions don't have that chance. Discipline will always be your pillar of fire and nothing can stand your way. You will always be attractive like the honeycomb to the bees and others.
I love my school Kagwa and will always support it. Alluta continua...
We labour for our future.
