Pascal T. Ngoboka, (PhD). Professor of Economics at University of Wisconsin-River Falls, Past President, Southwestern Social Science Association (SSSA), Director, Center for Economic Research
Pioneer OB 1968-1971
On behalf of the St.Kagwa Pioneers (Class of 1968-71), St.Kagwa Bushenyi High School, I congratulate all the St.Kagwa alumni, all past and present administrators and teachers; and other well-wishers who have contributed to the successful launching of this website. The Pioneer class [comprising of boys and girls] was small; we knew each other by name, and studied hard together as good friends, despite the lack of adequate scholastic and other resources. We had great teachers and administrators, particularly our beloved Headteacher, Rev. Fr. Bruno Loiselle (RIP!).
Personally, i owe my academic successes to this humble, loving, and nurturing environment. As the saying goes, I cut my 'academic teeth' at St. Kagwa, where my long academic journey began and ended at the University of Wiscosin-River Falls, USA, where i have served as a Professor of Economics for over 30 years! Long story! Who knew!
I humbly join the St.Kagwa alumni family and pray and hope that we remain united under the 'St. Kagwa Bushenyi High School Old Boys’ Association (SKOBA)', for the betterment of our great high school!! I am indeed honored to have interacted with several Kagwa alumni. I was early looking forward to travelling to Bushenyi for our Golden jubilee/reunion; but COVID-19 hampered these plans.
To current students: Study hard; use all the available resources to advance your education. Give it your all; the sky is the limit!!
God bless you all!"
